What Personal Information Is Collected by Anuko Auction Sniper?

Anuko Auction Sniper software does not collect any personal or financial data such as your name, address, or credit card data. The only information required from user for normal operation of Auction Sniper is your username and password for the target auction site. They are necessary for the program to log in and place bids on your behalf. Without them, Auction Sniper will not be able to operate.

Note that there is no 3rd-party server that Auction Sniper passes your credentials to. Auction Sniper software is running on your computer and deals directly with the target auction sites without any intermediate server(s).

How Does Anuko Auction Sniper Handle This Sensitive Information?

Anuko Auction Sniper never passes your credentials to any third parties. Your username and password can be stored on your computer in encrypted form or not stored at all at your choice. You control this option in Options - Settings window in Auction Sniper. In both cases, your username and password are transmitted to your target auction site only when logging in.

Is My Information Secure with Anuko Auction Sniper?

Anuko Auction Sniper uses the security protection facilities provided by online auction websites. Some sites are not encrypted. Thus, while placing a bid, your username and password are sent over the Internet without any encryption. Because of this, Anuko Auction Sniper can not guarantee 100% protection of your password when a bid is being placed. But it is probably safe to assume that the level of protection is similar to that of when you snipe manually in a browser.

What Information Do You Collect for Statistics?

Anuko Auction Sniper may collect and transmit to our server anonymous information about items being sniped at and their success rates. We need this information to study usage patterns in order to improve the tool. When the tool matures registered users of Auction Sniper will be given an option to disable such collection. Notice that no personal information such as your name, login, or password is being collected for statistics.
